Does hypnosis really work?
Yes, it really works. The power of transformation comes from within you. Hypnosis is an effective way to modify behaviors/beliefs/patterns that consciously you have not been able to conquer. Hypnotherapy enables the subconscious mind to agree with the conscious mind. Hypnosis can stop that negative self-talk that can sabotage your desired transformation. How does it work?
Hypnosis is similar to a guided visualization that communicates with the subconscious mind while the conscious mind is in a relaxed state. A hypnotic state has the same brain waves as when you are falling asleep (alpha & theta). So, hypnosis can feel very similar to falling asleep (even though you are not asleep during a hypnotic trance). When accessing the subconscious directly, suggestions that fit within your belief system can be accepted as new reality. Hypnosis enables the subconscious mind to agree with the changes the conscious mind wants to make. A lifetime of patterns, habits, behaviors, emotions and beliefs are all stored in your subconscious mind. Your conscious mind may know what you want to do to change something, but it is working against the subconscious mind that keeps repeating the patterns, habits, behaviors, and beliefs. Hypnotherapy works with your subconscious mind to create new, positive neural pathways which support you in reaching your goals.
Can you make me do something I don't want to do?
Absolutely not. Hypnosis requires the complete willingness of the client. The suggestions given to the subconscious mind have to be in agreement with a person's moral belief system otherwise the suggestion will be rejected. You are always aware while in an hypnotic state. You are always in control.
What is a typical session like?
A typical appointment lasts approximately 60-90 minutes. We spend 40-60 minutes talking about challenges and goals. The actual hypnosis session is approximately 20-30 minutes. Sessions are always personalized to meet your individual goals. Often, recordings are made so that you can listen to the session regularly. Just like exercise strengthens your muscles, repeated listening to the hypnosis session strengthens the new neural pathways in the brain.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Most people can be hypnotized. Our brains naturally fall in and out of trance states throughout the day. For example, watching television or driving a car can cause trance like states. How many times have you experienced "highway hypnosis" in which you do not remember the drive home? You can achieve a deeper level of trance with practice. Major transformations can be achieved in light, medium, and deep levels of hypnosis.
How many sessions will it take?
For fertility, a 12 session package is recommended. Appointment timing is flexible to coincide with natural cycles or assisted intervention protocols.
